I applied online and received an invitation to interview via email. My interview was a panel interview with two nice ladies. The meeting lasted for about 30 minutes and consisted of about 15 questions.

They were very nice and tried to make me relaxed. One lady read me questions and then both ladies wrote my answers down. I was not allowed to look at the questions or ask any questions.

Always expect a panel interview with at least three people. There is many times a writing sample required. The process of applying and interviewing with the State can sometimes be a slow process.
