Entrevista
The recruiter set me up for a phone interview with the hiring manager for this position. I blocked out time to prepare for the interview. At the day and time of the interview, the hiring manager never called me. I waited over 40 minutes and never received a call.
I contacted the recruiter again who responded within five minutes and told me that she would follow up with the hiring manager although I didn't hear anything back for the rest of the afternoon. Barring some unforeseen personal emergency on the part of the hiring manager, this was otherwise pretty unprofessional behavior on his part. There are many ways that he could have canceled the interview and rescheduled if necessary.
Since this is the person that would be my boss, it gave me a clear idea of what it might be like to work for him.

Got referred. Recruiter call was quick, recruiter was late. Went over process and expectations. Had 3 questions, very open-ended and high level, didn't even read them, pasted them into the chat.

Interview process consisted of a 30 minute round with HR phone screen, a video call with the hiring managers (as there were 2 positions needing to be filled so both hiring managers were there) then a final round of panel interviews.
The hiring manager completely went out of his way to pull my resume (as I was from out of state), filled me up with hope by saying “you have strong resume and background.” Even during the interview with the hiring managers, he proceeded to go on about how he is “trying not to show his cards,” discussed the role in more detail, he even stayed on after the interview was scheduled to end to give me more details about the job, the office in the state I would have been working from, even his vacation plans and how I would be reporting to his backup during that onboarding time - so, very present tense as if I had the job in the bag.
Panel interviews also went as well as panel interviews could go. They felt like I had a strong background as well and gave me that feedback, even though I felt they were robotic at times and 1 person came in late and I felt like I had to answer questions all over again to catch this person up.
So, don’t apply to this company unless you are prepared for the hiring manager to completely lie to you, and get a generic HR response 2 weeks after your last interview round that you “weren’t a strong candidate.” (Note - I received the rejection email within an hour or so of me asking if there was an update on progress since I had not received feedback for 2 weeks. But, was told the timing of my rejection was “just coincidence” and to keep applying for future opportunities at T-Mobile).
I have since applied to another open position and was automatically rejected.
