I submitted a resume via LinkedIn and interviewed a few days later at the Mill in Bloomington, IN. I was skeptical at first, because the company posted four different jobs all with the exact same job description. I also researched and found that this company appeared to be a pyramid marketing operation, but decided to at least go to the interview anyway. For the first interview, I was taken to a room no larger than 4 feet by 4 feet and asked for a copy of my resume and to discuss my background. Halfway though answering that question, the interviewer had to leave to take care of something and when he came back, did not let me finish discussing my background. He then said that I seemed like I had a lot of management experience (which I hadn't discussed yet) and that I would be a great fit for the Consultant position. As I had expected, none of the job titles posted were the actual role and they were trying to get people in the door and would hire anyone. I'm not sure why I was asked to dress in business professional for a job that pays $12 per hour selling Direct TV subscriptions in department stores. This is a far cry from being an Assistant Director and working in a super-progressive environment (the Mill). Ultimately, I did not attend the 2nd interview.
