I was supposed to have a phone screening on a Wednesday afternoon. An hour before I get an email asking to reschedule. We put for the next day at the start of the business day. An hour before I received an email, "The business has decided to pause the recruitment for this role and to not move forward with interviewing anyone for the position at this time, so we will be canceling the phone screen we have scheduled for you this morning." Total waste of my time and energy. Not to mention getting excited about an opportunity while I've been searching for a job for months.
