I applied over their website, which was straightforward and easy - only upload of CV required. I got an email a month later inviting me to an interview with the HR and the hiring manager, Head of Marketing. The first interview was informational regarding the company and my own previous experiences. The interview was conducted mainly by the hiring manager. It seems that this is still pretty much a startup company since even the Head of Marketing came to this position after 5 years starting as a coordinator without any previous working experience. The interview went well and at the end I was informed I will need to do a case study that I will receive the next day and will have 7 days to complete. I had to wait few more days for the case study and when I received it I realised that I would really need a full week of my personal, off-work time to complete it. It consisted of 4 different topics: 1. Marketing Strategy and Digital Marketing Analysis (Analysis of the Rimac Digital Marketing efforts, Target Audience analysis), 2. Social Media Strategy (new Youtube series engagement plan, new car campaign strategy, copy-write 9 social media posts with Rimac's tone of voice), 3. Social Media influencers research and strategy (find 5 brands/individuals to collaborate with, find 3 non-automotive and non tech influencers to work with in next 6 months), 4. Performance Marketing (Brand awareness campaign plan for UK, Germany and Spain). After realising that with completing this case study I am giving them an annual Digital Marketing Plan for free, I asked for information regarding the salary package since I don't want to invest all these time in Case study if we are not aligned financially. I explained my situation and wanted to know what the salary expectation is for this role. It took 1 week to get a reply that they " cannot afford for everything that I am asking for"!!! I haven't asked for nothing else but information about the salary. So all in all, this is a startup where it looks like young people are wanted so they can be exploited as much as possible for the sake of getting the needed experience.
