I was e-mailed back shortly after applying for an initial phone screening. After, I was asked to come in the following week to meet the recruiter and the person currently in the same/similar role. I got to the office and sat in a conference room with both individuals, and was asked questions, made small talk, and the two described the role and the office environment to me. I was asked about compensation during this meeting. Before being offered or declined, I rescinded my application and no longer wanted to be considered for the role due to unaligned expectations.
