After I applied, I was contacted by the company recruiter for a phone screen. She then set up an appointment for a phone interview with a manager in another office, as the person who manages this position was on maternity leave. After that interview, the manager who was on leave returned, and I had an in person interview with her. Next, they told me they wanted me to interview with the partner who is the head of the entire office in that city, but they were having trouble getting the interview on his schedule. They scheduled me for an interview with the office manager instead, although she doesn't manage the position and doesn't really even work with it. Ultimately, I was told that they had decided to go with candidates with experience doing more exactly what this position does. My experience, while related, is in a different area. Overall I had a positive impression of the company and everyone was very nice, but the process was rather drawn out.
