Applied and received an email from recruiter with about 5 questions regarding security procedures and related work background, experience in dealing with those procedures. They required some lengthy answers. I'm assuming these were sent to the security management to determine on moving forward with applicants. After that, got a notification for a Zoom meeting for a screening interview. Then did a video chat with HR Rep the next week for screening purposes . Briefly discussed the position and working conditions, but did not move forward since the offered salary range was not competitive for the cleared industrial security sector. Interviewer suggested interviewees coming out of the aerospace industry are exaggerating when they say the offered pay range is around 40% of what cleared security contractors are making elsewhere in LA. Demonstrates their feel of this niche job market is a bit outdated and might need to get more current. Other than that, recruiter was very friendly and didn't ghost in the process...was straight forward and quick to respond. The whole process took less than a week, which was appreciated. No time wasted.
