I (Female) got called through a recruiter, everything was pleasant until i went in for the interview. the interview was with the hiring Manager the head of the department, a condescending male, greeted formerly, walked into the interview room with a glass of water in a plastic cup, and shoved it in my face, like here drink ! I didnt ask for water, or he didnt ask if i would like to have some water, was put off by that itself. He did not keep eye contact, and was muttering under his breath every now and then, I found the interview very unprofessional, and unpleasant, couldn't wait to get out of there, so my responses would have irritated him even more :) maybe he was just having a bad day, who knows,! It may be an organizational culture thing, as many people commented RACQ to be a male dominant environment. I can't judge the rest of the organization with only my one experience. I wouldn't have taken the job even if i was offered, i made it clear to the recruiter that evening itself.
