Interview process took around 3 weeks. The interview process is very streamlined, professional and thoughtful. After applying online, a call was scheduled with Sumayyah Khan, who has explained everything in detail about the company, role and the interview process. Overall process contains 2 stages one take home Spark/Scala coding assignment and once shortlisted, there will be a 2 hour interview call with recruiters who are really friendly, knowledgeable and made sure the entire process was smooth. In this round I was asked to prepare a presentation on a data engineering problem which I solved as a Lead and then the discussion of the code which I submitted and finally a business case study discussion. Through out the process Sumayyah was really helpful and provide quick response for all my queries.

First call by HR to do basic screening, then a take home assignment. 1 week period to do take home assignment in scala spark, you are expected to learn basic scala and spark if you have no experience using it. Assignment and setup is very clear, the team is always ready to answer any queries you have on the assignment. This makes it feel like they are genuinely testing your ability to learn, problem solve and code instead of just testing your memory skill Assignment is then reviewed and comments will be given by the reviewer. After that, it is a panel interview where you can prepare a topic of your choice to do a presentation on. This is to test your ability to communicate technical information in layman term. Followed by a run through of your take home assignment and sharing of your logic as well as some basic spark knowledge test. The panel interview ends with some business knowledge test, where you run through a very simple "case study". If you know what this company do, then it will be very easy to read up on this topic. Overall the interview feels challenging but fair, and it was a great experience going through it
