I interviewed with the Marketing Director, who appeared relatively early in her leadership journey. Unfortunately, the interview experience was not particularly structured. A significant portion of the conversation was spent discussing frustrations with her team, including concerns around collaboration and execution, rather than exploring my experience and suitability for the role.
From the challenges she described, my impression was that the team may be struggling with prioritisation and execution alignment. There seemed to be many ideas and initiatives in motion, but less clarity around organisation, follow-through, and implementation. It gave me the sense that the role is primarily looking for someone who can provide structure, drive execution, and turn ideas into action.
