      Entrevista

Literally the worst experience I've ever had interviewing. The recruiter didn't show up to our first scheduled call, nor did he ever send me an email or response after he blew me off. I sucked it up and rescheduled through his Calendly and that got the ball rolling, kind of. He said I'd be scheduled that week to connect with the hiring manager, but then cancelled an hour prior to the interview because the manager had to travel. Pretty sure this would have been known in advance. Then was the even more humiliating process of trying to get this rescheduled. Recruiter kept not responding to emails until I put time on his calendar, only then would he bother to answer. Anytime I provided times he didn't account for time zones and I can't even begin to count how many times I had to follow up. The only time he actually scheduled anything was when I cced the person I was supposed to connect with. This was humiliating and dehumanizing. First woman I spoke with was nice enough. The hiring manager was at a conference and on the phone outside a casino, but he said I was great and wanted me to move forward. Last lady talked a lot about herself, how great she was, how their team was perfect, yada yada yada. I'm not really sure why I was even talking to her seeing as she wasn't on the team and didn't seem particularly interested in me. But she did say how I was great and wanted to move forward with me. Well, despite everyone saying I would be perfect for the role I got rejected. The recruiter then had the nerve to lie to me about the reason, saying they were more interested in people withy experience in the field, literally no one at the company had experience in edtech prior to joining including the whole team and the CEO. I also can't imagine anyone else debasing themselves like I did through that humiliating process trying to get the interviews scheduled. I could go on and on about the lies I was told, but what's the point? Either tell me the truth or don't say anything. The cherry on top was the recruiter had the nerve to finish off his email with the generic "let's stay in touch", dude couldn't stay in touch when I was interviewing. This was by far the most insulting, horrible experience I've ever had interviewing and that's saying a lot.
