The first two interviews were great - professional and enjoyable. The final interview was overall very good, however I did have one interviewer who was extremely confrontational. It seemed he had decided prior to my arrival that he was not interested in allowing me to interview for the position at all there was a heavy focus on why I was applying for a role that I was "too qualified" for. He additionally pushed for role playing without sufficient information to do so appropriately - ie: I was asked to be the customer who had purchased our product and indicate what I would be using it for, but gave no information as to what my company was or what I did. Different companies use products in very different ways, and it is important to determine a reasonable answer as to what I would be "specifically utilizing" the product to accomplish. It is important to note that the other individuals with whom I interviewed were not at all like this - friendly, interactive, and positive. Further, I was informed during my in person interview that the information on the Pendo Website and on Glassdoor regarding company culture and employee satisfaction was false - work life balance does NOT matter to the directors/supervisors and employees are expected to work a minimum of 50 - 55 hours/week, even if you are meeting or exceeding expectations. If you're not performing, you should be staying until you hit your goals - even if that means 8 am to 9 pm. Or longer. It feels as if I dodged a bullet and I would advise caution in pursuing this company if you have allowed their online presence to influence your decision at all.
