PayPay Corporation’s hiring process is nothing short of pathetic. I applied for a backend engineer role and went through multiple rounds of interviews. At every stage, their interviewers told me how "impressed" they were with my skills and background, giving me false hope and wasting my time. After successfully progressing to the final round, I was slapped with a generic rejection email, which offered no explanation whatsoever. To make matters worse, their policy blatantly states that they will not provide feedback. This level of disrespect and opacity is shocking for a company that markets itself as innovative and professional. The fact that they string candidates along, showering them with praise at every stage, only to send a soulless rejection email at the end, is a pathetic excuse for a hiring process. It shows a complete lack of integrity and respect for the time and effort candidates invest. Constructive feedback is the bare minimum any reputable company should provide, and PayPay’s refusal to do so reflects a company culture that does not value people. If you’re considering applying here, stay far away. PayPay’s hiring process is misleading, unprofessional, and outright insulting. There are far better companies out there that will treat you with the respect and transparency you deserve. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this mess of an organization.

Don't waste your time! Like many other comments, the interviewer's English was very poor. Even though I answered all the questions, I was still rejected in the end. The email replies and interview scheduling were very slow. It felt like they didn't really want to hire and were just going through the process.

So it all starts with code signal coding assesment which was leedcode med-high. After that recruiter call he/she will tell about company and hiring process. Rounds: Tech Round 1 Screening: I was asked to design my current aplication which iam working on went well. Was invited for loop round which are 2 rounds and based on first they can cancel second. Loop 1: Python related question, backend concurrency and distributed related questions and then there was one coding question not very tough. I was able to do, Interviewer seemed to satisfied and i was also positive that i will make this round. Cut short just before 1 hour of loop 2 they cancelled and did not even tell why or what improvements i can do.

Interview process started with online coding assessment (4 problems, 70 mins). I would say it consists of 2 easy + 2 medium leetcode questions. You don't need to score perfectly to pass. If you pass, you will be invited to initial recruiter call to talk about your experience and role. Then goes into a series of elimination rounds: coding/LLD, system design, hiring manager(behavioral). If you pass all of them, they will invite you to offer meeting. The whole interview process takes about 2 months, but the process and steps are pretty clear. Overall it is a good experience.
