Short phone interview and in-person interview with a panel of two managers of the Commercial Loan department. There was little discussion about the pay scale, which made it a little difficult to negotiate a salary in the first interview.

I interviewed for the loan support analyst commercial mortgage backed securities midland. I had 2 recruiters reach out and schedule an interview with 3 managers. The managers I met with were all sitting at home and were in tshirts so I felt overdressed. They read scripted interview questions (they stated in the interview it was scripted) and they didn’t seem enthusiastic at all. As if they didn’t feel like doing the interview and didn’t seem interested even though I’m very much qualified and have a lot of experience. I answered each question and even made them laugh. I honestly don’t think I got the job because I’m black. I hate to bring race in it but when you look at the company and who interviewed me, there are barely any minorities. When I applied I purposely didn’t put my race.
