Applied via agency for this vacated role and was called for interview 3 days later. The interview was with the hiring manager and one of his Project Managers. They both came across as polite and very nice people.
Started off as a positive experience with the project manager asking some competency based questions. Didn't get the option of talking through my cv so I had limited opportunity to sell myself.
The hiring Manager was very laid back almost to the point of being horizontal. It seemed as though he was making the questions up as he went. I didn't feel there was any structure to the interview. Throughout the interview the conversation centred around the negatives of the role and how the company managed its projects. I never felt he was trying to sell me the role, more the opposite.
When I had the opportunity to ask questions at the end. I would of liked quick concise answers but they were not and it prolonged the interview agony further.
I found the interview very amateurish, demotivating and demoralising and came out feeling really deflated and a complete waste of my time.
