It was a phone interview for a part-time internship at Oberon. The interviewer was just an intern at the company. I was asked about general questions like why are you interested in the company, and describe your leadership experience. I was also asked about accounting knowledge, such as the three most important statements.

Getting the initial call/meeting was the most difficult part about the process. The firm does not have a strict recruitment cycle, so following up made the difference. At the time of my application, I had no significant prior investment banking experience coming out of university, which posed its own challenge during the process. Oberon seems to emphasize work ethic and attitude as strongly as technical ability, and showing that I was eager to learn while delivering work product was important.
