As an applicant that is a seasoned Customer Service and HR professional, I am very disappointed in the OVME hiring process. I feel like transparency is key and believe customer service not only extends to clients but also internally such as applicants. One of the things that impressed me so much about OVME was the leadership team beliefs on customer service and team building. However, through this process I have learned that those are simply words and not actions by the leadership team. I was led to believe that I would be meeting the team and that an offer would soon follow. I rescheduled my vacation time during the holidays and enrolled my youngest in day care due to the confidence that was spoken that I would begin training the last week of Dec or first week of Jan. I reached out to the regional manager twice to follow up and was told human resources would be reaching out on the next steps. OVME wasted my time and led me to believe that HR would be following up soon. From reading the reviews, this seems to be the norm with OVME. I have also made the decision to cancel my membership. If this is how applicants are treated than I can now see that there is no organic care when it comes clients. I would highly recommend going forward, that OVME consider the applicants time and be truthful in the hiring process.

From start to finish, the process took four months. Each step came with lengthy wait time for follow-up, for a position that I was told more than once was looking to be filled quickly. At the end of the process I was of the impression that an offer would be made, based upon the flow of communication and the hiring manager in person interview. It was highly disappointing to only receive a generic declination letter from the "talent acquisition team" with no ability to respond to someone personally, which doesn't exactly leave the door open for future opportunities, even though the verbiage in the form letter states that the company encourages follow-up for additional opportunities.
