The first contact was through the consulting firm Hays. I had an initial phone interview, followed by a second round with the company’s CTO on April 15th. The position was for a Business Analyst role, but the team I would be working with had not yet been formed. The interview questions were somewhat odd, likely because the interviewer was from a technical background rather than business or product. Still, we had a one-hour conversation, mostly focused on the company’s goals. After that, I had another call with someone from the company’s HR team, but it was only to ask how the previous interview had gone and to inform me that they were still interviewing other candidates. Later, I had a follow-up call with my initial contact at Hays to confirm if I was willing to receive an offer and committed to the role. I said yes, and emphasized that I was open to discussing anything, as long as it was based on a concrete offer, not a hypothetical one. By early May, I was told that someone from the company would call me with an offer. That call never happened. Despite multiple follow-up attempts, the last contact I had with Hays was on May 20th. After that, I never received any response or feedback. Conclusion: Overall, the process felt unprofessional, unclear, and marked by poor communication. It was a frustrating experience, especially considering the time and energy invested without any closure or follow-up. I believe candidates deserve transparency and respect throughout a recruitment process, especially if you get to the "final stages" which, unfortunately, was not the case here.
