"I was informed on the day of my scheduled interview that it had been cancelled because another candidate had already been selected. The message simply stated: "We would like to inform you that we have identified a candidate for this role and will be proceeding with them. As a result, we will need to cancel your interview scheduled for today." No apology was offered, nor was I given a chance to be considered. While I respect the company's right to make hiring decisions, cancelling an interview at the last minute after I had prepared and committed time, without offering a fair opportunity to be assessed, reflects poorly on the recruitment process. Professionalism and respect for candidates are basic expectations that were unfortunately not met in this case."
