      Entrevista

I applied for this job as soon as it was posted on Linkedin, and then saw it remain on Linkedin in for honestly months afterwards. At the time I thought it was strange, as they must have received thousands of applicants from people whose applications were clearly never going to be read. I then received an email inviting me to an initial interview. I was really excited, as we all know how difficult the job market is, and what an emotional roller coaster it can be. The email contained a long list of links for this company, that it was suggested I read through in preparation for our call. So I did prepare, and spent a long time composing all my responses to potential answers that would come up. An hour before my call was then meant to happen, I received an email saying the job requirements had changed and to await further information. I waited, and clocked that the job post was still up on Linkedin. I then followed up the next week to enquire after the job and my continued interest. A few days later I was emailed to say job had been filled. I find it highly inconsiderate that the company allowed so many hopeful candidates to invest their time in applying and preparing for a role that was, in reality, never available. This experience reflects poorly on the company and has left me relieved that I did not proceed further, as it raises concerns about how they might treat their employees.
