Initial communication consisted of 2 phone interviews scheduled promptly and courteously via email. The 2 interviews took place on consecutive days and then resulted in a week's wait to hear back. From there, I was scheduled to fly out (travel and lodging generously covered) from my location on the east coast to the SF office. The interview process was a grueling 9 hour affair all said and done which played out almost entirely ina single whiteboard filled room. Most of the day went very well except fo r the two interviews I had with the founders. One because of a failure on my part to fully answer a variety of API security related questions, which was fine at the time considering my performance on the battery of other brainteasers and probing experience questions throughout the day. The second founder (the CEO) and I had an inherent personality clash from his opening question "Tell me everything you know about the internet." This 45 minute debacle is surely what doomed me, and although I thought him unpleasant, I mean that in no way to say he isn't a very capable CEO.

Everyone was so friendly, and kept me well informed throughout all the stages, even when there was some delay in hearing back from the team. My experience with the recruiter and the entire interview panel was the best I've ever had!
