The interview process went well, at least at first. I spoke with the recruiter, which was positive, and then spoke with the hiring manager, which also went well. They asked that I send over some work samples, which they seemed to like, so they scheduled a couple of hours for me to meet and interview with the rest of the team. Afterward, the recruiter said that everyone was "very impressed" and would like me to meet a leader in the marketing function.
Apparently, this is where things went awry.
Even though I thought this final interview went well, it's been complete radio silence since then, with no explanation or feedback. Not even a rejection. Nothing. They appear to have reposted the job, so I'll take the hint, but it's very discouraging to have invested so much time to not get any closure or have an understanding of what I could work on to improve my candidacy.
Some companies need to remember that we're interviewing them as much as they're interviewing us. While I'm disappointed, it's time to move on to bigger and better things. There are plenty of other companies out there that will conduct themselves more professionally.
