I applied for a role that required more experience than I have, and the hiring manager let me know that they would be reaching out again when a more appropriately experienced role came around. They did, and the interview process was timely, everybody communicated well and politely, and I was satisfied with the experience overall. First was a phone screen, followed by a technical interview a few days later, followed by a three hour "remote on-site" a week or two after that.
