A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and scheduled a 30-minute phone screen, followed by a first-round interview. I felt the interview went well, but a few days later I received a generic rejection email. I replied to thank them for their time and asked if they could share any feedback to help me improve. I received no response. I followed up again a few days later, still no reply. Since the company initiated contact and I took time out of my workday (while currently employed) to interview, it would have been courteous to provide at least some brief feedback. The lack of follow up felt unprofessional and disappointing.
