I applied, went into one on one interview and was hired on the spot. It was very casual and the manager was very friendly and excited to interview. I didn't feel pressured and felt good throughout the whole interview.
They called me and I didn't answer when I called back no one would help get in contact with a hiring manager. I didn't go to the first interview they wanted because of that but they called me to set up another . I went in to a group interview. We got our application back to change anything we needed. Next we made a game where everyone had to do a pitch out two different ideas on the page. I didn't do my pitch very good. But I noticed the interviewer take notes every time someone would say any about anyone else's pitch so I started to speak up. Then she put everyone in parts of the store and we had to pretend that she was the customer. It took 30 mins for her to get to me. It was kinda awkward. I didn't know what to do so I made my stand as nice as I could. She came by with another lady who worked in sephora. I told her hi, how are you? are you looking for anything? I showed her what she was looking for. Then she asked questions I has no idea about like if they had any sells. Then I was sent home. She said I would either get an email if I wasn't hired or a call for another interview.
Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en JCPenney (Covington, LA) en may 2017

I got a call saying there were no more spots open for the Sephora position but I could still interview for a JCP job - this was how the managers weed you out. If you aren't willing to work inside JCP then they don't want to interview you. You then have to pass the JCPenny interview process. If you aren't good enough to pass the JCP interview then you probably aren't good enough to work in Sephora. After you go through the JCP group interview, you move on to do the 'role play'. After that they take you to speak with the Sephora Beauty manager and then they decide to hire you or not.

The JCP interview was a group interview and we were asked to pick an idea off a list and present why we thought this idea would improve JCP's business.
For the role play, the scenario was a customer is buying a gift for a family member. You have to help them find and decide on a gift. You are placed in various departments in the store.
If you pass the role play you get to be individually interviewed by the managers in the store. I'm not sure what they ask people who are applying for JCP jobs but for Sephora I was asked 1. "Why do you want to work for Sephora?" 2. "Name 3 things that are trending in the makeup industry." 3. "If a customer purchases a bottle of perfume and then drops it on their way out of the store, do you let them return it?"
