I have had two accounting-related internships. I worked as an Audit Assistant at a local CPA firm in China. During planning, I was responsible for preparing the necessary forms for the audit field work. Once in field work, I completed tracing and vouching for various accounts. I also filed all the blank information on forms and verified information based on accuracy and completeness. I also worked as a Tax Assistant for a local CPA firm in Dallas. I filed taxes for individuals and trusts. I was responsible for reviewing tax workpapers and noting any discrepancies that required further review by my supervisor. I input data into Lacert and Excel and matched results with the original documentation. For individual taxes, I worked with Form 1040 and dealt with wages, pensions, gambling income, partnership income, capital gain and loss, and dividend and interest income. For trust taxes, I utilized Form 1090.
