      Entrevista

I wasn’t going to write this review, but this job market is too competitive to not warn people. Unfortunately, I had the same experience as the other commenter- if not worse. Despite the poor reputation and things I had heard/read regarding not just the company, but about Jeff himself, I thought this seemed like a wonderful career opportunity. Wrong. Within minutes of the “interview” starting I was told that the position actually doesn’t exist and that he had “gotten rid of their middle managers” and it works better. (I’m now left thinking then why am I on this Teams call right now?) He proceeds to asks me what pay I’m looking for to which I tell him $80k-$85k (less than half of what the listed position actually pays on average). This causes him to chuckle and tell me he has some thoughts on that. His response is that “the pendulum is swinging their way” and they no longer need to pay people high salaries like they used to and can get away with having them heavily rely on commissions with 50+ hour work weeks. He then tells me he was thinking about having me as a Leasing Agent or Community Manager at a measly $45k-$55k salary (I have 11+ years of experience). I naively ignore the glaring red flags thus far and we discuss my operations experience, and after 15-20 minutes he excitedly tells me he can find an opportunity for me around a $70k-$80k base in one of Inch & Co.’s various branches and to give him the weekend to sort the details and shoot him a text on Monday. It’s now been over 2 weeks, 1 thank you email, 2 texts to Jeff, 1 voicemail, and complete silence on his end. Word of advice: Don’t bait and switch people with fake job postings- it’s hard enough in this job market. Be transparent about pay in your job postings, so that you attract the right candidates and don’t waste each other’s time. Lastly, at the very least, have the decency to give updates and/or closure to those who took time out of their day to interview with you if you want any real shot at repairing your damaged reputation in York County. Best of luck.
