First, I applied online for my desired position. A few days later, I received a flyer for a hiring event at my local Ikea by a recruiter. I attended the event and was interviewed by a manager and another co-worker in the industry. I filled out my availability and the following day, the recruiter called me to discuss how I thought the interview went. Then after I gave my opinion, we discussed the position I applied for. I told the recruiter I was interested and that was practically my offer. I had to fill out an online acceptance of my offer, some paperwork, and get my drug screening. Once my background check and screening was reviewed and came back clear, the recruiter called again and now I officially have the job.
