      Entrevista de Graduate Sales Consultant

Solicité el puesto por otro medio. El proceso duró 4 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en HubSpot (Sídney)

      Entrevista

It was a smooth and coordinated process. I received an initial email from a recruiter in Singapore to schedule a phone interview with another recruiter from Singapore named Elayne. She called as scheduled and we had a pleasant chat about the role, my background and what i'm looking for. Following that another phone call was set up with an Account Executive in Sydney largely ran through the same thing. Following that there was a role play with an AE from Singapore where they tested my research and coachability. Following that there was a series of 4 interviews, each one being half an hour, with 4 different Managers from the team. The whole process took about 4 months but that was largely because of it beginning mid-November and spilling over across the Christmas and New Year break. I was very impressed by the whole process. At any given time I had two recruiters tending to my application and they were both very helpful in providing insights as to what is being sought after and how they can help and really did go above and beyond to help out. They would often stay back after hours to make themselves available to give me a ring and explain particular things. What I found most impressive though was their intra-departmental coordination. During my screening time, both of my recruiters went on short breaks and each time, another recruiter was temporarily assigned to my application so that at any one point in time, I had access to two recruiters for assistance. I found Elayne and Yuan to be extremely skilled and helpful proving ample clarity at each step of the way (which can be a very nervous time in between steps) as to what is happening. The overall impression I got is that this company really knows what it is doing and has refined its process so many times it is now a very smoothly functioning and well oiled machine.

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

Anyone who knows anything about HubSpot will be able to determine the reality of this very clearly - I systematically read through every single comment in the interview section of Glassdoor and ensured I had an answer to every listed question but I was still surprised by some questions I was asked. Some questions were repeated but HubSpot continuously finds new ways to innovate processes and this includes recruitment, i'll mention an example of that below. My advice would be the following: a) Research! My notes I compiled about the company, its value proposition and prep for questions came to be about 15 pages (which was small, I read that someone in his preparation made a document 40 pages long!) b) Once you have researched, make sure you plan how you can actually illustrate that research. Incorporate your research and knowledge into the answers to the questions you are asked. HubSpot has a really emphatic internal culture towards learning and they will look for this subtly and explicitly throughout the process. If you can demonstrate an aptitude for learning and an innate curiosity about the world, that will work to your advantage. A good time to bring this out is when they ask you about what you do in your spare time. c) Have a really well thought out narrative as to why you want to work for HubSpot and what it is you think HubSpot can offer you, what you can offer HubSpot and why your determination to join HubSpot is distinguished from other applicants. This narrative will be tested, both indirectly and directly at numerous points through out the screening process so ensure that you have a very well reasoned and water-tight reason for joining.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to write a review and I'm so glad you had a great experience. It can be so challenging for candidates when recruiter transitions happen for any reason, but I'm proud of Elayne and Yuan for ensuring you were met with consistency, transparency, and kindness throughout your entire process. I'm glad the feedback helped you along the way, and so glad you decided to join us - welcome to HubSpot! Best, Becky
