This is a very valid question when working in child welfare. You have to be a great sales person. The customers you serve have had their children removed or are at risk of removal because of abuse and neglect and you have to get them to buy into what you are selling, which is treatment, parenting skills, and so many other services all while they are very angry at the system. Not all clients are angry but imagine someone coming in and telling you how you are not doing what's right for your children and then telling you what to do different as a parent, how would you feel. You have to sell that ping pong ball people.
