Cold reach out from the CEO, shared info and role responsibilities. Two rounds of technical interviews. I knew it was a startup and went in with expectations (and previous experience) of such.
Did some self directed homework and shared it early on to show role interest. Overall, the process is what you make of it and you get out what you put in. Don't expect hand-holding as there won't be as such within the role either - again, it's a startup. You're here to build the plane while in the air.
Company seems to be in a growth period at the moment and did not experience any negative concerns per the other Glassdoor interview reviews. I'm coming into the role with the expectation to improve hiring and onboarding as I onboard and train, the process will only continue to improve.
