I interviewed for the Support Engineer role at HCL NZ in 2025. The process included a scheduled interview, follow-ups, and verbal confirmation from HR that an offer would be given. However, after nearly two months of waiting and multiple polite follow ups, I still haven’t received the offer letter or a clear update on the outcome. While the interview itself was straightforward and professional, the post-interview experience was disappointing. Promises were made about timelines that were not met, and communication completely stopped despite repeated efforts to check in. As a candidate who remained responsive and patient throughout, I felt undervalued and left in the dark. Clear communication! even if it’s a no, goes a long way in showing respect for candidates’ time and effort. Advice to Management: Please improve your post-interview communication. Candidates deserve transparency, especially when roles are confirmed verbally. Providing closure, even if plans change it shows professionalism and care.
