About a year ago I was reached out to on LinkedIn to ask if I wanted to apply to HALOS. I wasn’t given an official job title that I was applying for but short overview of what the company did and some of the benefits then a link to schedule a call. I scheduled a call expecting that it would be one on one with the recruiter and that I would find out what the role is and a bit more about the company, plus find out if my skills align. However, when I joined the call at the end of a busy work day and completely unprepared for an interview, I was faced with a panel of interviewers including senior tech staff. I was asked STAR style questions about my experiences and given almost no more information on the role or company. I did almost the whole interview not even knowing if I wanted the job or not. I inevitably did not get through to the next stage and don’t think anyone would unless they were actively applying to lots of places but I was just curious about the role and wanted to know more.
