Was asked to attend a 2 day event in NYC. Met with panel and conducted presentation. During my interview, one of the panel members made a wildly inappropriate comment that really turned me off. I will not state it here, but it was certainly off-color. Furthermore, I spent money and time to attend this event, and was simply ghosted after the interview. The company contracts a firm to handle their HR needs, and the folks who handle this are generally uncommunicative for the most part anyway. Furthermore, the process of interview was extremely disorganized, and travel plans were made at the very last minute. Given the ghosting activities, the disorganization, and the overall negative feeling I got from the entire team as a whole, I was very much discouraged. Very disappointing experience.
