A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn to take a conversation regarding the role. In the initial messages I communicated a desire to be leveled at a Director level (current) vs a Sr Manager level. The recruiter was still positive and scheduled the call. Immediately in the phone screen the interviewer discounted my skills and experiences, argued my current leveling as a senior level at a public company and shut down my application without asking any questions about relevant work examples.
