When contract documents don't provide enough or the correct information, the contractor will send an RFI to the consultant. If there needs to be a change to the design, it is issued in a CCN. Once the work is priced, the contractor will submit a quote to the owner/consultant, if approved, a change order is issued and the work proceeds as per the CCN.
