      Entrevista

*I review this as difficult as per my personal experience being AAPI and in regards to the hiring diversity quota* I prepared for my F2F majorly from studying the website, the history to reviewing all the way to 2018 on glassdoor to figure out if the work culture was meant for me. There was one post within hundreds that stood out and I AM HERE TO RECONFIRM: if you are AAPI that applied and is interviewing as non-LOD than you’re are not getting that CJO. I wanted to be optimistic and I sure was until I got sent home in the first group at the end of the interviews (last group to stay were offered CJO’s). The rest of us that got ushered out was told to be respondent within 7-10 days (that’s a courtesy to let you know you’ll be getting a TBNT email). I was so devastated since I truly believed I was confident on what I wanted to relay and represent to the company especially finally getting to the end of the long hiring process. After religiously checking my emails, facebook groups and forums online, I finally accepted the fact that I didn’t get the job despite how many people are claiming that the company is hiring and is in major shortage of FA’s to the point of many flight cancellations this summer. Here’s a couple of tips I’ve gained also lmk if anyone wants to buy study notes (including answered interview questions) I’ve accumulated, I will not be reapplying due to lack of representation and inclusion. They don’t care if you are knowledgeable of the company or their history (they don’t even ask), they want to know that you value Safety, Teamwork and that you dressed for the part. Obviously being on time was a no brainer. Don’t forget to stay Professional no matter how laid back the atmosphere is, remember you are still being watched and assessed so make sure to socialize all around within a formal outlook. The environment of the F2F did resemble a sorority rush and many others sources I’ve read agreed. They really are scoping out candidates that they want to work with. And don’t ask genuine questions, I asked questions regarding environmental sustainability, employee performance and how they’re measured all the way down to typos and irregularities the company had published on the website. I know that seems a bit much but these were genuine questions I had to ask for my own interest in the company and no one gave me the time of day for a serious answer and referred back to the support of other resources such as HR for questions such as so. If you’re Asian American or Pacific Islander, you better hope you speak another language *NATIVELY* because that’s the only other way to be part of the total 7% asian inclusivity rate as a Delta FA. I may sound resentful but in the end, the work culture of the company didn’t meet my basic requirements or even to the least be answered. To have read that many applicants have applied 6-18 times before finally being admitted into the company legitimately is discouraging. That’s about 6-18 years of constant heartbreak that no one really talks about when you don’t receive a job offer after going through the whole hiring process, including the waiting period and the six months eligibility to reapply. That’s personally a TBNT from me, I would like to be recognized by a company not solely on my appearance and consistency because that’s insanity. If Delta is your dream then I say go for it as many times as you want and continue your journey! To those that are going through the F2F, congrats! Also don’t be discouraged like I was when you don’t get the CJO. The flight attendant I talked to on the way to HQ said to me of all 23 years of flying she was certain I would get the job, if not than this company is not deserving and I will find something better out there. I will take my chances “out there”, and that was the best advice I’ve ever received during this entire process. Don’t drop your whole life or confidence based on the outcome of this event day. Best of Luck!

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.

It’s challenging, but rewarding, remember to answer in star format, and just enjoy the process, think about your why and smile! No matter if you have received a TBNT- don’t let that stop you from your dream…Keep climbing!

I completed my assessment last week, and within the same day of completion, I received a email for the on demand virtual interview. I have the on remand virtual interview to complete. Any tips? What questions did they ask?
