Had initial conversation with recruiter. Role seemed like a good fit based on my experience and the responsibilities outlined. However, when compensation was discussed, there was a considerable mis-match between the budget for the role and my desired salary (the top end of the budget would have been a >20% pay cut). As a result, I opted not to advance to the next interview stage.
