The process was not very formal at all, at least in the sense that it felt very natural and conversational. We talked about art and they asked about my interests, be that artists, practices, etc.

Of course, a lot depends on the director/partner’s personality and what they are specifically looking for in an assistant. But overall, it’s a German machine with a rigorous attention to detail
