I had an initial recruiter interview, a brief call with the hiring manager and then had to present a case study to some members of the team during which they both seemed very distracted and uninterested which was different to the first time I met the hiring manager.
Given the interviewer was new in this field I think she was asking questions for the sake of asking which meant they did not make any sense. On the same day I was meant to meet the CPO however I was told on the call that she had spoken to her on Teams and said she is overrunning on a meeting and its better to reschedule which seemed a bit odd.
Little did I know this was just their way of rejecting as I never heard back about a new interview date/time - very unprofessional from the CPO and Hiring Manager. Based on the teams experience it seems they are all new in the People Team field so a suggestion would be they need more experience in good recruitment/People practices - if you are not sure if you want to waste the CPO’s time then I'd suggest to wait until the final stage to book this interview in rather than giving an excuse - seems like a common theme amongst the other glass door reviews.
