Solicité el puesto a través de la recomendación de un empleado. El proceso duró 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Crosstide (Londres, Inglaterra) en nov 2022
Entrevista
I had a coding interview, where I was tasking with solving a problem using TDD. After passing that round, there was a casual casual culture fit interview with 101 ways and another one with the client.

The first call with the recruiter was very nice and smoothly but after that they've schedule a tech live coding test.
Although I don't believe this sort of tests evaluates my abilities, I've gave it a go.
The deception came when I was presented to do a Connect 4 game. I've got struggled at the beginning to set up a valid structure but after setting up the 2d array I've manage to start making some progress.
It was an awful experience. These sort of algorithm are simple ones like the maths that you have done on your GCSE, BUT after 10years if I give another GCSE for you to do it, how good will you be on it? Without you making any study prior to it?
I don't think that's fair. It's the same asking a teacher to do a class for any subject without any prior details on the subject and making sure that they will succeed, of course they wont.
Besides the fact that it's pointless this sort of assessments, it did not assessed my knowledge on event drive application, on serverless app, on DDD, on design patterns, on React best practices, on NodeJs or Typescript approach. I just assessed that I didn't have much knowledge about 2d array at that time.
So disappointed, very unfair.
So please, make sure that you do your research on algorithms, and maths problems prior your live coding challenge.
