First interview was good + recruiter, but the panel interview was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The panel was rude and clearly didn’t have experience vetting a candidate. They also were clearly messaging with one another during the process which was off putting. The only reason the interview was difficult is because they didn’t have any experience on what it takes to give someone a fair interview and objectively assess a skill set. Additionally, they made sweeping assumptions on one question they asked and didn’t ask for clarification. I guess I should have been alerted when the recruiter said that they can’t seem to find what they are looking for. I’d recommend holding a training on candidate experience and assessment.
