I was invited to interview by their internal recruiter which led to 4 interviews which were 1-2h each (a full work day in interviews). They all went well and each person noted in the interview that they'd recommend me, but in the end I was not offered the role without an explanation. I was repeatedly misgendered in the last interview which was uncomfortable and not an experience I often have to deal with in this industry. I was also warned against taking the role by an interviewer, heavily hinting the project was not in a good state nor on a feasible timeline and crunch would be likely. So thankfully I was not going to accept on this basis but the decision was made for me.
