Although they indicated significant interest in experience and background, there was no communication after the second interview. I believe that age was a major consideration….even though they were aware prior to the second interview.

The initial interview consisted of recording myself answering screening questions and was followed a few weeks later by a live panel interview over Zoom with the hiring manager and 3 members of the team. A decision was made within a few days of the interview and while I'm disappointed I wasn't selected, the phone call from the hiring manager to tell me personally was a nice touch and much better than a form rejection email.
