They piled a group of us together and began interviewing each of us one-by-one. They seemed intent on discounting as many interviewees as possible, yet I don't think it was the on the basis of any skills or traits relevant to Chipotle's requirements or culture. Within about 15 minutes, about half of us were "eliminated," if you will. From this impression, it seemed like they were looking for who they'd want to be Facebook friends with as opposed to who would be a team member that performs well and aligns with the company culture.
After the interviews, they were bent on dodging every single one of our job status inquiries. Whenever I called in, they actually lied to me ("the job server is down," "our e-mails aren't working right now," "we're having some technical issues," etc.) instead of just telling me they were still considering applicants. My application on their job server still displays "in progress" and I have yet to receive a rejection letter/e-mail, but I am assuming that they didn't think it was worth their time to send rejection letters. At this point, it was clear that they reduced applicants to numbers, which would be fine if that type of behavior didn't conflict with Chipotle's alleged values. Ultimately, Chipotle's image is just that, an image.

Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.

Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had

Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
