Three laboratory staff members interviewed me in what seemed like three separate interviews. They were all personable, and the interview was moderate in length. Each asked questions that neither led to "follow-on" questions by themselves or the others, and the three sets of questions were disparate. Each question therefore was an "all-or-nothing" proposition, and no discussion ever developed.

One of the three staff interviewers asked what I would do if I suddenly came into possession of USD 1 million in funds. No questions were asked following up on my response (questions like "Why?" or "Would you like the question defined further? (would the funds be restricted in any way, etc)". Another interviewer challenged me to come up with 3 uses for an ordinary pencil ("other than writing"). There was virtually no back-and-forth throughout the interview no matter the question asked.
