Entrevista
The interview I had with Caterpillar for the IT Analyst position was probably one of the best interviews I have ever given. The time I applied to the time I was selected for an interview was fairly long I want to say it was about six weeks from application to interview scheduling--if not longer.
It really pains me to give it a negative experience, but I was not offered the job--which is fine (can't win them all). However, the recruiter that was in the interview with the hiring managers called me a week after my interview. She told me they were all really impressed with me, and they all really liked me, but were not able to offer me employment. The reason being the two openings they were filling were going to be offered to two individuals that were being hired through the staffing agency they use. She then went on to tell me that the hiring manager was going to contact me because he wanted to speak with me about an opportunity to work with that same staffing agency.
Two thoughts came to mind immediately why would you waste my time knowing you were going to hire those people, and two why didn't the manager call me himself with details?
This was about two weeks before Christmas so I anticipated that I would hear back sooner than later seeing how the holidays were coming. I waited until the following week to follow-up with the recruiter to try and find out when I should expect to hear back. She almost seemed surprised that I didn't hear back saying that she had left a message telling him that I was interested in the position. She told me that it may not be until after New Year's before he follows up with me because they were closed the week of Christmas.
The holidays came and went, and I never heard from anyone despite being told there was interest in bringing me on through their staffing agency. I debated on calling a third time, but at that point it was just not worth it.

Entrevista tranquila, uma etapa inicial para reconhecer sua aptidão com a língua inglesa e depois uma rodada técnica (também em inglês). Apenas obtive um pouco de dificuldade na compreensão por causa do sotaque dos entrevistadores.
