I was recently invited to attend a Teams-based competency and situational interview. While I felt I performed reasonably well overall, I do acknowledge that one of my situational examples was not as strong as it could have been. I also wasn’t feeling well on the day, and in hindsight, I should have considered rescheduling. However, I did find some of the interview experience concerning. During my responses, one interviewer appeared visibly impatient, and the other left the interview partway through. Even taking into account that some of my answers could have been stronger, I believe that the overall conduct of the interview was not in line with a professional or fair candidate experience.
