Asked to do a questionnaire to gauge my experience in social media influencer marketing. Was called into an in-person meeting with the Co-Founder, and Honestly, he knew nothing about influencer marketing and truely was suffering from something I call Affluence Male Syndrome. That when you excel in one space that you think you can excel in another. Very old school way of interviewing and did not understand how other media companies run and thrive. Wanted me to "sell myself" to him when I have been working with influencers and contracts for the past 5 years. When you are hiring for a role, you should have some form of HR experience and this person did not and was quite rude. I promptly said thank you for meeting with me but I am not looking to move forward with this company. For a company that has only been in business for a year and 8 months, the ego is far too large of the Co-Founder. He needs to actually listen to people who have been doing it for years and not mansplain to applications that they call in.
